Riches

Wealthy people often give away what they have.
This is such a normal occurance with wealthy people, that Webster's has even created a name for it: philanthropist!
Well, you know what? God wants to give away His riches too!
He wants to give YOU good things. Matthew 7:11 says, "If you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask Him."

Our God is rich.
When you think of rich PEOPLE you probably think of stuff they own that qualifies them as being rich. Well, guess what?! God owns ALOT of STUFF!
He owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalms 50:10).
He owns the whole Earth (Psalms 24:1).
He owns all the silver and gold (Haggai 2:8).

A good, rich father would not want his own children to be poor. Just as so, our Father in Heaven, who is rich in so many ways, does not want us (His children) to be poor either. Neither poor in health, poor in finances, nor poor in faith. So remember that God is your Father, and he wants to share his riches with you. You just have to love God with all your heart and have enough faith to ask.

  1. I love Him with all my heart and I certainly don't hesitate to ask...yet...????
I have been struggling with this "subject" for a while now....
It seems so simple until you're desperately believing God for finances for something you NEED (not want) and then it doesn't happen.
(by the time the bill had to be paid). I'm still believing for the $ to come in...because I still have to pay back the loan...but I don't understand why (IT SEEMS) like my prayers weren't answered. I'm praying, I'm believing, I'm confessing, I'm giving...I'm doing everything I know to do and I'm totally trusting God to do this. It seems so huge to me...but I know that to Him (GOD ALMIGHTY) that it's not that big of a deal...so why....???

I'm sure this is a negative to my personality and not an asset...but I analyze things and I like things to be black & white. I know it's not always that way...but aren't God's promises that way? They are PROMISES...and God doesn't lie...

Anyway, as you can tell, I have some questions here....

I don't expect you to have the answeres...but if you do have any insight, I'd love to hear it!
Love ya Friend! (and Ashley!!! :o)

  2. What I have learned from my "adopted" sister is that in order to GET you have to GIVE...and thus begins the cycle...Being a good steward of what God has given you will increase what he gives you...Much like a parent, if a child doesn't take care of his/her stuff...do you give them nicer, more expensive or destroyable stuff?? No! They have to prove that they are taking care of what you have already given them. I remember wanting this beautiful porcelain doll that my grandma had...but I had to wait YEARS before I got it...mostly because I was still learning how to take care of the stuff I had. Once I showed I could do that, I was able to get this fragile, beautiful, expensive doll to have...

You have to trust God and speak life into situations..Confessing with your mouth is so important! But, you also have to be an obedient tither and giver with what God tells you NOW, or why would he give you a porcelain doll....If you are doing those things (Confessing good things ONLY, being obedient ALWAYS) then trust God...There's a song that's been on my heart lately by Jason Upton..It says "I used to ask for a sign to believe in...But he never gave me a reason to ever doubt him!!" Know that he loves you more than you can imagine and he will take care of you...Would you do any less for your children?
