Why begin?

This blog is intended to be used for sharing God's directions for our lives. I am not a Pastor, nor am I an "elder" in a church. I am a Christian who believes God's Word and tries to live it in my life daily. I hope to be a Godly example to others, and especially to my children so that they may grow up to be God-fearing, God-loving, Blessed people. My plan is to only use God's Word for these "Guides for your Life", but I'm not going to promise you that sometimes I won't throw in "common sense". The truth is though, most "common sense" can already be found in Proverbs! Its amazing, if you haven't read it ever, or lately, you should take a moment to read some or all of Proverbs. Its amazingly accurate, and applicable to today's life, and hilarious sometimes in its truthfullness about any situation. Such as the one about (paraphrased) "the lazy man shall eat no bread"... i.e. if you don't work, you don't eat. Simple as that. Pretty straightforward, eh? For someone who likes things in "black and white" and not much "gray", Proverbs is awesome! I hope you like it as much as I do.

  1. I love Proverbs. Before Matt and I started our daily Bible Study, I used to try to read a Proverb every day (since there are 31 of them) and I would just start over every month. It's amazing how many times you can read Proverbs and still see/read/learn something new every time! Yay for the new blog!
